Empowerment and Rehabilitation Center For Adults with Disabilities holds the establishment permit no. 11132 / 15.05.2020 and the operating license no. D767 / 10.08.2020 issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, National Authority for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Children and Adoptions.
Information and social assistance
The information and social counseling activity includes the support provided in maintaining the relationship with family, friends, social network, information on social facilities, assistive technologies and devices, alternative or complementary services, promoting the employment of people with disabilities.
It includes counseling and supportive therapy programs, specific therapeutic interventions aimed at: developing appropriate behavior for social situations, developing positive attention and thinking, adequacy of emotions, self-awareness, avoiding situations of social isolation and depression, optimization and personal development, self-knowledge
Habilitation and rehabilitation activities
A set of activities comprising the following:
– Physical therapy
– Special therapies: therapy / activities assisted by animals (dog)
– Art therapy (modeling, painting, drawing, dance, music, acting)
– Psycho-sensory-motor stimulation
– Occupational Therapy
Care and assistance
Beneficiaries receive care and assistance 24 hours a day, support in maintaining personal hygiene, dressing/ undressing, support for medication administration, support for changing body position and mobilization inside / outside, treatment of bedsores and other specific problems.
Activities for maintaining / developing cognitive skills
The activity for development, cognitive stimulation includes information but especially exercises and games for multisensory development, development of attention, thinking, concentration, finding solutions, developing elements of basic learning, practicing reading, writing, counting, identifying answers and solutions to questions .
Activities for maintaining / developing daily skills
Organizing, planning and finalizing the daily program, exercises for performing a single task / multiple tasks, exercises for time management, to deal with stress, situations of tension, emergency or crisis, for self-control of behavior.
Activities for maintaining / developing communication skills
The aim of the activity is to learn / practice assertive communication, verbal and non-verbal communication, providing feedback, understanding facial language, developing / improving the ability to converse with other people, using communication tools.
Activities for maintaining / developing mobility skills
Maintaining mobility, exercising and strengthening muscles, maintaining balance are very important for both improving physical condition and mental health.
Activities for maintaining / developing self-care skills
Activities include awareness exercises on choosing clothing and footwear appropriately, taking into account the season and event, keeping personal items in order and cleanliness, applying techniques and exercises to learn actions related to hygiene, self-care.
The activity of maintaining / developing one's own health care skills
In the activity, participants learn and practice how to take care of their health, how important it is to follow the treatment, and a healthy diet, how to cope with the influences and pressures related to risks such as alcohol, drugs, injury / self-injury, infection with transmission infections
Activities for maintaining / developing self-management skills
Small responsibilities such as arranging / gathering meals, waste management, arranging clothing / footwear in the personal closet, ironing clothes, watering flowers, walking the dog, increasing self-esteem, strengthening the sense of responsibility and developing independent living skills.
Activities for maintaining / developing interaction skills
In recreational and social activities, organized events focus on developing the ability to relate to different people, developing the ability to adapt, encouraging communication and interaction.
Activities to maintain / improve the level of education / preparation for work
Weekly lucrative-therapeutic workshops are organized where the beneficiaries can practice their practical skills and develop their creativity (creating decorations, embroidery, beads), experience the feeling of usefulness, personal value thus increasing self-esteem.
Volunteer activities, participation in craft activities, or professional training are encouraged. Within the activity, the beneficiaries who want to work receive guidance and counseling before and after employment, for accessing or maintaining a job.
Assistance and support in decision making
In the activity, the beneficiaries exercise decision-making skills, learn what to consider when making decisions, order information, identify personal values and priorities, learn to evaluate alternatives, justify the choice, review the decision.
Activities regarding the involvement in the social and civic life of the community
Activities include organized walks, participation in community events, exhibitions or even the display of products created by the beneficiaries. Community activities facilitate the integration of people with disabilities, reduce stigma and discrimination.
